| Week of May 15-21, 2011
|
| The week of May 15-21 was an eventful week on The Hill’s campus, as the end-of-year activities began to occur. On Wednesday, May 18, an awards ceremony was held during school meeting period to honor over 60 students who earned high scores on Classical language exams that were taken earlier this year, including the National Latin Exam, the National Greek Exam, and the National Classical Etymological Exam. That evening, Neo Mokgwathi ’11, the 2010-11 exchange student from Hill’s sister school in Botswana, performed her Afternoon Arts recital in the Alumni Memorial Chapel. On Friday evening, the Chamber Music group and the Jazz Improvisation group performed their final concert of the year. The highlight of the week came on Saturday, when members of the fifth and sixth form traveled to the Pyramid Club in Philadelphia for the annual sixth form dance, which included a night of good food, fun, games, and dancing. The third and fourth form also had form activities on Saturday. The third form stayed on campus for a series of games, and the fourth form traveled off campus to play laser tag. |
