I joined the Hill faculty in August of 2006 and currently serve as the assistant director of athletics, an instructor of history, and the head coach of swimming and boys’ water polo. I attended Hill’s perennial rival, Lawrenceville, where I lettered in swimming and water polo. In 1993, I graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a degree in psychology. At Hopkins, I was a four-year starter and senior captain for the men’s water polo team. For five years, I served as the head coach of both swimming and water polo at Saratoga High School in California. I also have coached water polo at the University of Arizona, Northern Arizona University (NAU), and Macalester College. I earned a master’s degree in counseling from NAU and have worked with at-risk high school students and in a college counseling center. I live in Upper School West with my wife, Jenn, and our dog, Roscoe. Please send email to djones@thehill.org or contact by phone at 610-705-1032.
