A faculty member once told me, “my biggest regret is not having the Dream Team plan my wedding"...the Dream Team (Hill's student activities group) definitely lived up to that standard this past weekend (May 15) for the annual Sixth Form Dance - "A Night in Bollywood." The dance started off with students fleeing to the Headmasters' Garden to take pictures in the clear and sunny evening—a change from last year! As everyone arrived at the dance, we were greeted with yummy hors d’oeuvres, the perfect break from Dining Hall food. While dreams were crushed when the rumored elephant and peacocks didn’t show, the excitement once felt for the animals was rekindled when a classmate, Carol Jiwan, walked on stage to perform her own Bollywood-esque dance routine. The food was good, the decorations were well done, and the dancing was a lot of fun, making the Sixth Form Dance once again a successful night.

To launch the countdown to our final six days of the year, the sixth form girls got together for refreshments at Mr. and Mrs. Dougherty’s house. We enjoyed time together and shared some of our favorite, most memorable memories that we experienced together during our time at Hill. We were joined by some of our favorite faculty women who have helped us along the way. Dressed in spring attire, Lilly Pulitzer of course, Mrs. Dougherty handed out our blue ribbons as she congratulated us on our accomplishments. The year ended faster than most of us expected it to and the Sixth Form Tea, on that lovely May afternoon, seemed to be the perfect way to set off the beginning of the end to our Hill careers.
