Support The Hill Fund

The Hill Fund plays a crucial role in enriching the lives of the students and faculty of The Hill School, generating 10 percent of the School’s annual operating budget. Without this essential funding, the School would have to draw from the endowment, eroding the long-term financial stability of the institution. Gifts made to The Hill Fund directly impact the School today as your gifts help sustain all areas of the School including faculty salaries, academic, residential, and student life programs, financial aid, and building operations.

More than 21% of alumni and 50% of parents participated in the 2010-2011 Hill Fund, raising more than $2.404 million for The Hill School – surpassing our goal of $2.4 million – a testament to the commitment of The Hill School community. Each and every gift to The Hill Fund helps to maintain the financial stability of the institution.

This year, we hope you’ll consider investing in the future of The Hill with your own gift to The Hill Fund. All gifts, regardless of the size, help ensure that each and every student has an exceptional learning experience in the classroom, in the dormitories, on the playing field, and on the stage.

Your contribution to the 2011-2012 Hill Fund will help:
  • Attract and retain the excellent faculty of the School, by providing competitive salaries, benefits, and continuing education programs;
  • Provide financial aid to more than 30% of our students - exceptional young men and women who otherwise would not be able to attend The Hill;
  • Invest in new technologies such as digital SmartBoards and projection systems;
  • Offer a challenging academic curriculum, including AP level courses in Latin, Greek, Chinese, Applied Physics, Humanities, American History, Calculus, among others;
  • Provide students diverse extracurricular activities including 29 interscholastic sports and 52 student organizations, including the Student Philanthropy Council, Hilltones and Hilltrebles, Jazz Ensemble, Orchestra, and the Ellis Theatre Guild; and
  • Provide outstanding educational opportunities outside of the classroom, including the Writers at Work series, school-year abroad, independent projects, and field trips related to the course of study.

Thank you for your dedication and support of The Hill School through The Hill Fund! If you have any questions, please contact Virginia Yinger, Associate Director of The Hill Fund, at vyinger@thehill.org or at 610-705-1197. Make an online gift to The Hill Fund.
