For more than a decade The Hill School's jacket or blazer exchange program has helped Hill students meet our traditional dress code requirement. The concept is simple: any student who gives a jacket is entitled to get one from the exchange closet. This idea allows growing students to exchange their blazers free of charge.
The exchange program provides male and female students with an easily accessible on-campus supply of blazers. Students should contact Mrs. Ellen Nelson, chair of the arts department, who coordinates the program, and request a time to browse the growing supply of outgrown jackets.
The exchange contains blazers of many different sizes and colors that appeal to various tastes. The program is always grateful for jacket donations, especially those of larger sizes. The School frequently receives donated, dry-cleaned blazers from alumni. The exchange program eagerly accepts donated blazers to fit our young women, too!Since the location of the jacket exchange closet changes frequently, it is best to contact Mrs. Nelson sometime during the school year at enelson@thehill.org.
