Charles (Chad) Eline ’08 – This is Chad’s first term with Afternoon Arts although he has been practicing photography for the past five years. Chad says his project reflects “a photographic study of the farmland surrounding Pottstown…I found that each of my photos contains a different emotion, and each one is unique in what it is trying to portray.”
Alexandra (Alex) Jorn ’07 – Alex’s Afternoon Arts project featured both landscapes and still life in several different media. Her work possessed a strong sense of composition and experimentation in style.
Madeline Rupert ’07 – The quirky and mythical subjects of Madeline’s project are notebook doodles that she wanted to expand on. She says, “I want people to look at monsters in a different perspective…to accept that something different and strange won’t hurt them.”
Pongsakorn (Tum) Suppakittpaisarn ’07 – Tum’s inspiration comes from the desire to express his feelings and artistic fantasies. Of his three-part series of portraits with third eyes, Tum explains, “They represent the desire to be more and to have more. People always want to be ‘superior’ and ‘outstanding’, but…being outstanding means being alone.”
