Members of The Hill School Orchestra participated in a master class with the “Avalare” string quartet (www.avalarestrings.com) during Hill's Symposia Days on Tuesday, January 26, 2010. The quartet features violinist Valerie Vuolo who is an adjunct string teacher at The Hill. Ms. Vuolo has been coaching students in the string quartet who performed for the “Avalare” quartet during the master class. The professional quartet provided musical and ensemble rehearsal suggestions that the orchestra musicians all benefited from hearing and performed with the student quartets.
