The Academic Center is a state-of-the-art facility built on the site where Middle School once stood, facing Hunt Upper School Dormitory and flanked by the Alumni Memorial Chapel and the John P. Ryan Library. Designed by Chatelian Architects of Washington D.C., the 44,000-square-foot Center echoes the prominent architectural and aesthetic characteristics of surrounding campus buildings.
The Academic Center houses both academic and administrative offices (Headmaster's Office, Dean's Office, College Advising Office, Academic Office, and Residential Life Office), 26 classrooms, a dynamic student center, the Campus Store, and other amenities. Covered porticos connect the Academic Center to the Dining Room, framing an attractive courtyard. This magnificent structure beautifully completes The Hill's Quadrangle.
