Several students score well on math contest |

On January 10, 2012, 63 Hill students participated in the fourth Pennsylvania Math Contest of the year. The 30-minute contest contained six questions, each worth one point. The topics included geometry, algebra, trigonometry, logarithms, series, exponents, roots, integers, real numbers, combinations, probability, and coordinates. Ji Park ‘12 scored a perfect six points, while Gia He ’14, Poom Khunsriraksakul ’12, Jack Liu ’13, Kyle Tipping ’12, Vivek Venkatesh ’12, and Mingyu Wang ’12 all earned five points. So far, 143 Hill students have participated in at least one math contest this year. There are two contests remaining this year, with the next one on Tuesday, February 14. |
