Will posted the low score in the JV golf match against Mercersburg. Despite windy conditions, Will shot his match average and led the team to a victory.
Mary Edwards '12 (Pottstown, Pa.) Varsity Girls’ Soccer
Mary helped lead the girls’ soccer team to three victories this past week. In the PDS game, she scored 3 goals and had 1 assist; In the Germantown Friends game, she had 3 assists, and in the Mercersburg game, she had 2 goals. Controlling our middle of the field, she is a force to be reckoned with.
Eric Foote '12 (Greenwich, Conn.) Varsity Football
Eric raced 50 yards from the opposite side of the field to catch and help prevent Mercersburg’s punt return from getting all the way to the end zone in an 8-0 game. After this effort, the defense came on the field and was able to prevent Mercersburg from scoring to tie the game just before halftime.
Ross Lomire '15 (Collegeville, Pa.) JV Boys’ Soccer
Ross scored the winning goal in the team’s 1-0 victory at Mercersburg. He worked well to create offensive chances throughout the match and was rewarded for his hard work with a goal. Ross quietly but effectively goes about his business on a daily basis and has shown steady improvement throughout the season.
Kaitlyn Otte '14 (Spring City, Pa.) JV Girls’ Soccer
Kaitlyn is having a phenomenal season as the sweeper on the JV girls’ soccer team. In the past three games, she has played a huge role in helping the team shut out its opponents.
Jackie Smith '12 (The Woodlands, Tex.) JV Girls’ Cross Country
Jackie has gotten stronger every single race, peaking at the Gill Invitational with a time of 24:18, only 20 seconds behind our varsity runners. When needed, she has always risen to the challenge of running in the varsity race.
